The
Museum of the American Quilter's Society (MAQS) is a non-profit charitable
institution established to educate the local, national, and international
public about the art, history, and heritage of quilt making, including
the diversity of quilts and their makers. This mission is accomplished
through quality professional exhibits of new and antique quilts and related
archival materials; through workshops, conferences, and publications;
through educational activities; and through the development and exhibit
of the museum's own collection. |

Town Quilt Walk |
The LowerTown Arts District Quilt Walk is a juried exhibition of art quilts that is held annually in one of the fastest growing arts district in the country located in Paducah, KY, also known as Quilt City, USA. The exhibit will coincide with the 2007 American Quilters Society Quilt Show & Contest. Art quilts selected will be on exhibit in the LowerTown artists’ galleries and businesses. Maps to all the galleries will be available for visitors at each venue. Cash prizes will be awarded. |

The opening of Maiden Alley Cinema is a dream come true for all of us.The Paducah Film Society, a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization, was founded in 1991 by a group of arts-minded individuals who saw a need for an outlet for foreign, independent and documentary film. For the first five years of operation, PFS screened one film per month, Sundays at the Cinema. As interest increased within the community, programming expanded to multiple screenings. More. |

The Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center is defined by the needs of the people it serves. Those parameters include: A regional, multiple-use facility with adequate space for public and private events of all types. Superb staging and acoustics for a wide variety of entertainment, cultural and education programming. The Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center is located in downtown Paducah and overlooks the confluence of the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers. Heritage Museum |
The
River Heritage Museum is located within the oldest surviving antebellum
building in Paducah's historic downtown. Known locally as the Petter Building,
this two-story, double-pile, brick structure was built circa 1843 to house
the newly-formed Branch Bank of Louisville. The building still exhibits
the original molded lintels, parapet end walls, and denticulated cornice
that are characteristic features of the Greek Revival style. More. |
